The key to making successful paintings is to make a lot of sketches and paintings. Too often we give up when an image doesn't work out. Joe will talk about how and why he paints and will also give a demostration on repurposed material. We will spend the bulk of our time painting together using acrylic or oils. Bring old paintings to paint over. Example: these could be your old high school paintings or a sad painting you bought in the 80's from your local thrift store. Participants should plan on bringing their own paints and canvases and materials to paint on. Joe will have a few materials on hand to share.
