Too often artists approach "nature painting" in a literal fashion. Nature is dynamic, expressive and often, personal. In this workshop we will learn directly from celebrated Eau Claire painter Joe Maurer. Learn ways to use color, space as well as how to use mistakes to convey joy. Joe will do a painting demonstration and offer one on one instruction. Joe will have a few extra supplies but generally folks should bring their own materials. Bring ideas, images or reflections of nature, your own paint supplies and supports 12"x12" or larger gessoed. We will cover a lot of ground in this short time period.
